Sliding Gate Steel Rack Repair
I was called out for a gate motor repair that turned out to be nothing other than poor installation on the part of the previous so called “gate motor installers”
Sliding gate steel rack is not easy to install correctly. A misaligned rack and pinion is your gate motor’s worst enemy. When the steel rack does not align with the gate motor’s pinion gear it will cause false collision and even stop short or differently each operation. A lazy gate motor installer will install rack the way in the right hand photo. To the left of is when I was done with the repair.
