Discontinuation of the R3 and R5

R3 and R5 - notification

Word from the Centurion Team

We just wanted to let you know that we are retiring the R3 and R5 ranges of rotary swing gate motors at the end of December. You will still be able to buy operators from these ranges until then, but please be aware that this is subject to stock availability, and, once we have run out of stock, we will not be producing any new units.

However, you can be rest assured that we will continue to offer repairs and support on these products for the next ten years, so you are covered in regards to any units that you may have installed in the field.

You’ll also be happy to know that we offer a quality solution for sites requiring rotary swing gate motors.

The FAAC 391 is an elegant and compact operator for swing gates up to 2 metres wide, and, thanks to its innovative mechanical design, it boasts great flexibility and simplicity of installation. You can read all about this great product, as well as check out its technical specifications, here.

Kind regards,

The CENTURION Team

SD04 – Centurion Sectional Garage Door

Sectional Garage motor

With the SDO4 Sectional Garage Door Motor, that experience begins the moment that you open your garage door. With whisper-quiet operation and movement that’s smoother than a Barry White song, the SDO4 garage door operator for tip-up and sectional doors lets you know you’re home.

Adaptive anti-crushing control

The SDO4 Sectional Garage Door Motor was designed with safety in mind! The built-in anti-crushing circuitry will cause the door to stop and reverse if an obstruction is detected, helping to prevent serious damage or injury.

Battery-driven – ALWAYS on

You need to be somewhere in a hurry. The power goes out. You’re going nowhere. Unless you have the SDO4, that is. The SDO4 switches seamlessly between mains and battery power in the event of a power outage, so it’s always on. You can even use solar power to charge the system.

An SDO4 to suit your door

The SDO4 comes in two different models, making it suitable for virtually any size domestic garage door. Choose the T10 for smaller doors up to 12 square metres, or automate your bigger door with the powerful T12 model.

Reliable DC motor

Our 24V geared DC motor provides enough power to move even the largest door quietly and reliably.

Effortlessly switch between door types for the ultimate in flexibility

The SDO4 is suitable for both sectional and tip-up doors, and toggling between the two using the intuitive LED display automatically, and intelligently, adapts the run profile to suit the selected door type.

Total security at the press of a button

The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world… and so is the hand that controls Holiday Lockout Mode! This on-board high-security feature allows you to electronically lock your garage door by pressing one of the Wireless Wall Switch or remote control buttons, giving you total control of who gets in.

Lock in any position

For increased security, the Manual Override can be disengaged and then re-engaged in any position. If you’re going away on holiday you can also electronically lock your SDO4 so that not even a learned-in remote control can operate the door.

Autoclose

Look, Ma, no hands! If you forget to close your garage door, your SDO4 will do it for you – if you’ve activated the Autoclose feature. Or maybe you’re moving stuff out of your garage and need the door to remain open – overriding Autoclose is as easy as pressing a button!

Onboard receiver with code-hopping security

A home security system that fits in your pocket. Our four-button code-hopping remote control utilises the same technology found in top of the range vehicle security systems and can control your SDO4, home alarm system, automatic gate motors and whatever else you need to feel safe. Rest easy, knowing there’s a CENTURION standing guard.

Ease of installation, adjustment, and setup

Ready. Set. Go! The drive unit slides into the rail and the control box slots into position at the back, it’s as simple as that. Additionally, the built-in LED display and colour-coded buttons together make it a delight to configure settings and toggling between the operator’s many unique features couldn’t be easier.

Door Service Monitor

Using adaptive load sensing technology, our Door Service Monitor keeps an eye on things and a courtesy lamp will flash and a buzzer will sound when your door springs are worn out and need maintenance.

Shortage of D10 and D10 Turbo gate motors

Shortage of D10
Dear Valued Client, We just wanted to let you know that we are currently experiencing a shortage of D10 and D10 Turbo industrial sliding gate operators, mainly due to there being insufficient stock of the electrical motors used in these systems.

Why the shortage?

Unfortunately, several factors conspired to create the present situation.
Firstly, a sudden upsurge in demand led to our contingency stock being depleted much quicker than anticipated. As you know, there was recently an outbreak of xenophobic violence in certain parts of the country, and, sadly, truck drivers were targeted in these attacks, making delivery of stock all but impossible without compromising the safety of the drivers. Thankfully, the situation seems to have been contained for the moment, but the shockwaves that it sent through the country’s economy are only now starting to subside.

A final bit of misfortune struck when a ship carrying stock of the motor was waylaid by a severe storm en route to our shores, with physical and IT infrastructure troubles at the port causing further delays.

What are we doing to fix it?

While these events are indeed highly regrettable, we will not allow them to deter us from providing you with the world-class service you have come to expect from Centurion Systems. We can confirm that, after a few delays, we have received stock of the motors and production has already started. Our production team will be working throughout the weekend to build up stock, and a special delivery to get units to the outlying areas has been scheduled for Monday, the 30th September.

Conclusion

To quote a famous saying, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry, and, try as one might, it is extremely difficult to plan for every eventuality in this increasingly volatile and uncertain world. That being said, we commit to creating higher levels of safety stock going forward.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding and support.   Kind regards,

The CENTURION Team
